Lucille Samuels, “L. Samuels”, grew up in Texas and appreciated the valuable lessons she learned throughout her childhood. Summers, she spent outside the US to visit close relatives or study abroad, enjoying the wonderful cultures and places!

Her interest in art began the first time a pencil, paintbrush, crayon (anything that could make a mark) was placed in her hand. And through books of all kinds, L. traveled, imagined, laughed, and cried. Reading helped spark her own interest in writing, and in her early teens, L. wrote short stories and poetry. During later years, she also explored fiction. The only hitch was that she never finished them.

In 2018, and after graduating with her PhD in Education, L. finally dared herself to complete her first books—both as an illustrator and author.

Currently, L. spends her time between Texas, the UK, and Switzerland and operates a global education company while writing.
